Three Ways to Give

Cash
Cash is gladly accepted! It may be placed in the offering box located on the wall by the nursery.
If you want a receipt for your cash contributions at the end of the year, please fill out a donation envelope with your name (located on the welcome table) when you donate. You may also place loose cash in the offering box if you wish to remain anonymous.

Check or Money Order
A check or money order may be placed in the offering box located on the wall by the nursery.
It may also be mailed to Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church, 3055 W Old State Rd, East Jordan, MI 49727
Please make checks payable to Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church.

We also welcome electronic bill pay or recurring payments that you may be able to set up through your bank or credit union.

Online
We now offer electronic giving using a service called Tithe.ly. You may donate to us online using a credit card, debit card, or bank ACH transfer. Using this service, you can designate what fund you'd like to contribute to (if you wish) and also may set up recurring payments.

Contributions Can Be Designated for Specific Purposes

General Fund
General fund is used for the daily operations of the church. We pay our insurance, cleaning supplies, kitchen supplies, heat, telephone, electricity, salary, etc. out of general fund.

Building Fund
The building fund covers building repairs and upgrades.

Missions Fund
We sponsor three missionaries affiliated with Free Methodist World Missions. More information can be found on our Missions page.

Child Sponsorship Fund
The Child Sponsorship Fund covers the cost of sponsoring two children. More information can be found on our Missions page.

Memorial Fund
Contributions made to Pleasant Valley Free Methodist in memory of a loved one are kept until we have a special project that we don't have other funding to cover. Most recently, memorial fund contributions allowed PVFMC to improve safety by purchasing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and to provide the training to respond to medical emergencies in our church.

We Keep Your Information Safe

We keep track of contributions the old fashioned way -- on paper! When you give using cash, check, or money order, your personal information is never stored in a computer or online by anyone at Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church. If you provide your name when making a contribution, we'll keep track of your contributions (on paper) throughout the year so we can send you a statement at the end of the year for your income tax purposes. Only the total weekly deposit for each fund are recorded in our computer. Your individual contributions are recorded "offline". Cash contributions may be made completely anonymously.

Your check, money order, or tithe envelope are only seen by the treasurer and the tellers that count contributions after church each Sunday. Our Pastor also has access to information as needed. Other than the bank teller that processes our deposits, no one else has access to your cash, check, money order or your personal information.
